Weekly Home Inspections

On a weekly basis each home is checked for maintenance and security. Our home inspection services are custom tailored to each residence to allow for personalized, thorough checks. The purpose of this is to prevent major damage through the early detection of mechanical or maintenance needs. Below is a list highlighting what is monitored each week:

  • Alarm system - Schedule maintenance and repairs as needed
  • TV/Audio system - Test equipment for proper operation
  • Fireplace flue - Close when unoccupied
  • Monitor for pest/rodents
  • Vehicle - Battery maintenance
  • Exterior perimeter inspection
  • Irrigation - On/Off, management
  • Mail - Collection from post office
  • Packages - Receiving/Accountability and delivery
  • Weekly Electronic Inspection Data - Sent to client on a monthly basis
  • Exterior doors and windows - Check for operation and security
  • Heating systems - Geothermal, Forced air, Radiant, Electric
  • Hot water heater
  • Water System - Monitor water condition and treatment
  • Plumbing System - Exercise plumbing fixtures
  • Appliances - Check
  • Light bulbs - Inspect interior/exterior and replace as necessary
  • Electrical Panel - Inspect for trips, seasonal circuits on/off
  • Fire Suppression - Check for leaks
  • Hot Tub - Operation, temperature, clarity
  • Monitor propane - Call for refills as needed

Oversight and Management of all Subcontracted Services*

Each home is likely to require additional professional services and maintenance through outside Contractors. Big Sky Home Management will provide reputable, trustworthy subcontractors to complete work in your home and coordinate details with scheduling, monitoring and supervision.

24/7 Emergency Services

We provide all of our clients with 24-hours access to our emergency answering service where you will speak to a live person in the event of an emergency. This enables the BSHM team to be available to assist you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our emergency service number is 406.581.4948.

As the owner and operator of Big Sky Home Management, Steve greatly values the individuality of each property as well as developing strong, long-lasting client relationships. With over 15 years of experience in property management, Steve has gained experience that expands beyond one generation of service. His building and maintenance knowledge is evident in his daily operation of BSHM.  Steve’s commitment to the well being of all BSHM properties ensures that highest standard of care and operation is given to each home. 

 

Beth Hickey, Field Representative & LPM

Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Beth moved to Montana to attend Montana State University-Bozeman where she graduated with a degree in Recreation and Physical Education. With 12+ years of experience as a licensed property manager Beth demonstrates the ability to resolve problems, respond quickly to executive client needs and efficiency in her daily duties. Her professional, bright and friendly charisma is noticeable when corresponding with clients and vendors. 

 

Leonard Izzo, Field Representative

A New Jersey native, Leonard encompasses a personable demeanor with more than 10 years of experience of residential home management in Big Sky and 15 years of commercial management in New Jersey.  With his enthusiasm and strong work ethic Leonard provides a proactive approach to property management resulting in excellent service for each of his clients. 

 

Amber Gerr, Client Services/Field Representative

Originating from the Twin Cities, MN, Amber joined the BSHM team with 4 years of experience in residential property management in the Big Sky area. As an organized, efficient professional she oversees BSHM client services and the properties in her portfolio with a keen attention to detail and a focus on each client’s best interests. 

 

Scott Leuzinger, Field Representative/Licensed Plumber

Hailing from St. Paul, Minnesota Scott has been a property manager in Big Sky for 15 years and enjoys the challenging variation in duties and expectations as well as building client relationships. Scott is also a licensed plumber earning him the nickname “Scott the plumber” or “STP”. With over 20 years of experience in the industry Scott brings his vast plumbing and mechanical knowledge to BSHM and his clients.
